A speculative cover I designed for Wise Blood by Flannery O'Connor, one of my favourite writers. There's a significant scene in the book where Hazel Motes recalls a formative experience at a carnival as a child, and later there is a strong sense of spectacle to his street preaching. So I drew on the carnival aesthetic for the typography and bright colours to hint at how that early experience informs his ideas of a saviour and religion.
